Ecotourism vacation
http://www.southafrica.net/sat/content/en/za/home
Not only what did I read in the website has interested me to visit South Africa, but also what I heard before about it. In my opinion, a vacation in South Africa can be wonderful for several reasons. Besides it is an ecotourism holiday, the place itself is amazing. It has the beautiful nature and the fun entertainment. In addition, it is not so expensive to spend a month there comparing to other tourism places. The forests in South Africa can be an amazing place to visit and have an adventure in addition to the ocean which surround the area from 3 sides. It is the place that combine the freshness of the water and the air, the beauty of the nature, and the fun of the forests.
Canada day
Canada 145 celebration day was one of the most amazing days that I ever had. I spent the whole day in Princess Island with my friends. There was a Saudi section to present an upcoming event which is in September 8. My sister and I volunteered on that day. We met many people from different cultures and we taught them our traditions. We also learned so many different aspect in many countries. We shared traditions and customs with other countries. The Saudi section was all about presenting the Saudi event in September. It included Saudi dance, songs, clothes, food and coffee. On behalf of the Saudi club and all Saudi students, I would like to invite you all to the first Saudi annual festival in september. For more information, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkIkkckcVTs&feature=plcp and visit our page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/373526292672550/. I will be happy to see you there :)
my future plans
By the end of this semester, I will be ready for a very nice vacation. I have been in Canada for a year and 3 months, so I id not see my family since that time. I miss my parents, my cousins, my grand parents, and my friends. Three days after this semester ends, I will go back to Saudi Arabia to spend a month and a week with my lovely family. I will visit three cities there. I will be in Riyadh first, the capital city, where I lived for 12 years. Then, I will go to Jeddah, where my mother lives. During my vacation, I will visit my hometown Almadinh. I will fast Ramadan there. We have very nice traditions in Ramadan and the month after Ramadan, which I will be so happy to spend the whole month of Ramadan there. After that, I will get back to Canada, but not in Calgary, in August 27th. I will start studying in Halifax with my sisters. It will be a new experience, hopefully a perfect experience.
Equality
In Saudi Arabia, Men and women are not completely equal. Men are usually concerned with offering money for their families, while women are concerned with their house and their children. For example, women do not have to work and their husbands, fathers, or brothers are responsible to offer them money. Women can choose if they want to work and contribute on gaining money or saving money for their future.
There are some differences in the jobs that they have. Some jobs are only for men such as policemen and pilot. Other jobs are most for women like nurse. In the governmental jobs, men are more than women. Most of the leaders in Saudi Arabia are men.
